Product description
Pure Aroma Shampoo (now sold in Japan as PA Shampoo EX) is Japan Life Pharmaceutical's all-in-one scalp shampoo that cares for the scalp and hair at the same time. In Japan it is a quasi-drug (医薬部外品): its active ingredient, licorice-derived dipotassium glycyrrhizate, helps prevent dandruff and itching.
Coconut-derived amino-acid cleansers wash the scalp and hair in a rich lather without a squeaky finish, and 23 hair-conditioning ingredients such as ginseng root, camellia seed and swertia extracts, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, collagen and silk care for both. One step is enough and no conditioner is needed, which keeps friction low. A heat-active silk derivative reacts to the heat of the dryer to form a protective, moisturizing film for a smooth, silky feel.
Scented with an original blend of natural aroma oils such as geranium and lavender. Alcohol-free, mineral-oil-free, no synthetic fragrance, no tar colorants, sulfate-free cleansers, silicone-free. The brand states the product was renamed from Pure Aroma Shampoo to PA Shampoo EX with no change in ingredients.

How to use
1. Wet hair and scalp with lukewarm water. 2. Work an appropriate amount into a lather in your palms, then spread it through the hair. 3. Wash the scalp gently while massaging it into a lather. 4. If the hair does not have enough lather, lather a little more and wash the hair with the foam. 5. Leave the lather on for about 30 seconds as a foam pack, then rinse thoroughly. About 1.5–2 months of use for medium-length hair.

Precautions for use
Rinse thoroughly: leftover shampoo can cause scalp trouble, so rinse the scalp carefully as well as the hair. Do not use on areas with wounds, swelling, eczema or other abnormalities. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse it out immediately. If the product does not suit your skin, i.e. in cases such as the following, stop using it. Continuing to use it may worsen the symptoms, so consulting a dermatologist is recommended. (1) If redness, swelling, itching, irritation or other abnormalities appear during use. (2) If such abnormalities appear when direct sunlight strikes the skin where the product was used.
